Sherry Myers

I was born and raised in Sarnia, am married and have two young adult sons. I am a part of SAW and the 6+1 Art Group. I have always loved art but didn't pursue painting until around 1993. I took a watercolour class with Ariel Lyons, and I was hooked. I love painting florals but recently my subject has changed to landscapes. Lately, I have been experimenting with painting from my mind, not using a photo. I am trying to use my imagination and evoke a feeling from the painting through subject, shape and colour. I get a great sense of satisfaction painting this way. I look forward to having more time in the future to take more classes to continue to learn and grow as an artist.
