"Beginnings" ... this is how William Clawson describes his art. His sculptures become flowing harmonies of controlled shapes, textures and colours that reveal a strength as well as comment on the endless possibilities available within formal limits. The work becomes an organic synthesis that inspires the viewer to share in its creation and to experience a new beginning. The work stimulates the spectator, not in the discovery of physical objects, but indeed to the sense of the rhythm which animates them.
